Slowing Down as Resistance

The slow drip of time
does the magic
So let the stillness lead you
to drink life
sip by sip

I have just spent a beautiful week in the mountains. It wasn’t a holiday, even though it felt like one. I went to a small meditation centre, as a volunteer, to cook for a group of meditators. I’ve been visiting the centre for years. Sometimes to sit, but more often to cook. To support the yogis as they explore their inner worlds in silence. I tell people that it’s my way of giving back, but to be honest, I receive far more in the act than I give.
